Semi-Trailer Mechanic

Job Description
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair of semi-trailer bodies, systems, and components.
- Perform preventative maintenance measures on semi-trailers.
- Maintain hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required.
- Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts, including tires.
- Check and repair the brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
- Ensure that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.
- Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report all findings to management.
- Respond as soon as possible to client queries.
- A minimum of 1 year experience as a trailer mechanic.
- A valid driver's license.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, such as hydraulics, air breaks, and electrical systems.
- Extensive experience with vehicle diagnostic equipment.
- A good understanding of mechanical and technical information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Manual dexterity, experience with hand tools, and physical strength.
Hours: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm (hours could vary)
