Job Description
Pay Rate Range: $18.00 to $25.00 hr. (Depending on Experience)
- This position requires taking ownership of the gas cylinder inventory
- Work directly with Department Supervisors and Operators
- Assist in receiving and QC of Gas Cylinders
- Safe movement of waste cylinders and drums
- Assist with housekeeping of cylinder storage areas
- Update Wastrak
- Data entry and file management
- Maintain COI inventory spreadsheets to meet DHS requirements
- Retrieve cylinders from inventory
- Ensure proper segregation and storage of waste containers
- Miscellaneous requests as needed
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
- Strict adherence to protocols for handling pressurized and highly reactive chemicals
- Must be self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability and willingness to learn DOT and EPA regulations
- 40 Hour Hazwoper training and forklift certification is required
- Experience with, and handling of, compressed gas cylinders is a major plus
Hours: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
