Job Description
PURCHASING COORDINATOR
Seeking an experienced individual to coordinate purchasing and tracking of chemicals.
Responsibilities include:
- Issue Purchase Orders and maintain records of all purchases, receipts, and communication with suppliers
- Ensure that materials are ordered and delivered in a timely manner to optimize production throughput
- Monitor reorder quantities for adequate stocking
- Obtain quotations for the sales department, place orders, and arrange shipment and transfer of materials
- Schedule and handle transactions needed to maintain efficient inventory levels of materials using QuickBooks Enterprise
- Prepare reports as required by management and customers
Experience: The Ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in the chemical industry preferred
- QuickBooks Enterprise experience with proficiency in Inventory and Accounts Payable
- General knowledge of inventory management systems/procedures
- Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills
- Attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
- Strong initiative and problem-solving expertise
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Compensation: Depending on Experience $20.00 hr. to $28.00 hr. (range)
