Position summary
This position is responsible for general engineering support including maintenance procedures, ongoing production equipment troubleshooting, develop and support in preventive maintenance, equipment and process efficiencies that ultimately impact company profitability and reduce production downtime.  Additionally, supporting all maintenance/facility projects from commencement to implementation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensures that the facility's equipment and machines are maintained properly and working correctly.
  • Conducts routine facility inspections, logs equipment operating parameters and adjusts equipment as required.
  • Execute the facility's maintenance program; identifies and analyzes equipment or machinery failures and takes corrective actions.
  • Provides technical training to production team members.
  • Support the coordination of work performed by outside contractors, vendors and engineering consultants.
  • Consults with and provides guidance to project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for construction of various designs, modifications and structural repairs.
  • Plans projects based on the analysis of relevant materials such as drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, survey reports, maps, and other geologic and topographical data.
  • Drafts and presents reports on topics related to projects such as environmental impact statements and right-of-way descriptions.
  • Estimates materials, equipment, and labor needed to determine project cost.
  • Monitors project progress and ensures design specifications, safety, and sanitation standards are met.
  • On completion of a project, inspects, repairs, and maintains the structures as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Abilities
  • Prefer bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Proficient in computer-assisted design (CAD) and other design, data recording, and analyzation software.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, climb to and work off elevated platforms, ladders and walkways.
  • Ability to be both creative and analytical.
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations related to assigned projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
This is a full time position.  The training for this position requires all candidates by mechanically inclined.
