Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description
- General carbon steel piping knowledge
- Large bore valve knowledge
- SMAW welding experience
- Minor civil work
- Carpentry
- Structural fitting
- Knowledge of 480V and 110V electricity is also ideal
- Must be able to access confined space underground vaults to perform PM services
- Experience with steam and underground utilities is also a plus
- Ability to interact with contractors and the general public, as well as have good field engineering and organization
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, plans, and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports; and communicate effectively
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Seven years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Regularly require use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
- The employee frequently is required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, and talk or hear
- The employee must occasionally lift and or move more than 100 lbs. and climb stairs
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 4:45 am to 3:15 pm
