Job Description

Job Purpose: The Module Coordinator is primarily responsible for Shipping and Receiving activities at the warehouse. This includes transfers between the plant and the warehouse in both directions. They will be active in supporting all SAP transactions for material movements and the management of inventory in the warehouse. This person will also perform the SAP consumptions and movements associated with the flow of materials for the creation of modules. Additionally, they will be responsible for performing quality inspections on modules and shells produced by the company.

Strategic Focus:
 
  • Be the companies representative onsite in Alvin to manage the required workflow.
  • Develop advanced skills with SAP transactions to ensure accurate inventory control and timely transactions to support a stable inventory environment.
  • Actively ensure all deliveries meet customer requested timing and quality expectations.
  • Be proactive with cycle counts and transactions in SAP while establishing better practices for inventory control.
  • Become proficient in the Quality inspections of modules and shells.
  • Be the liaison between company and warehouse to ensure effective and accurate communications.

Main Responsibilities:

Warehousing
  • Communicate regularly with logistics department to prioritize orders and work for the day.
  • Receive material in SAP, make labels and scan materials to the appropriate row.
  • Communicate with plant for the scheduling of pickups and drop offs of materials and catalysts as appropriate. Escalating issues when scheduling is not followed.

Inventory & Material Management
  • Collaborate with other logistics, warehouse and sales team members to create innovative solutions to track inventory, complete accurate cycle counts, and comply with standard operating procedures in addition to best practices.
  • Scanning materials in and out of warehouse in a timely manner.
  • Scrap flow out of warehouse and production back to the plant including SAP transactions.
  • API inventories and cycle counts.
  • Goods Receipt all module related shipments produced on site per completion of module inspections and completed packing lists.

Modules
  • Issue TO’s for material movement to build modules
  • Process Module control forms and consume elements to Modules in SAP
  • Manage material scan issues in SAP (split pallets, partial pallets, etc)

Shipping
  • Audit labelling, shipping documents & special packaging as required

Quality & Miscellaneous
  • Inspect metal shells under the direction of the Mechanical group prior to shipment to the plant or warehouse.
  • Inspect Modules under the direction of the Mechanical group prior to shipment.
  • Split pallets and conduct cleanup in SAP to keep warehouse organized.
  • Complete inspection reports ensuring that products built are in accordance with project drawings, quality procedures and company standard specifications.

Key parameters:

Geographical Areas
  • 2 days a week at location in Alvin, Texas.
  • 3 days at the Pasadena facility

Interfaces:
 
  • Outside organization: Interface with 3rd party warehouses, contractors and company technical sales group
  • Inside organization: Interfaces with all plant personnel: Strong interface with operations, maintenance, and supply chain management.

Required Profile:
Functional requirements
Education and Experience
 
  • High School Diploma required, or equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of education
  • Safety and hazardous materials training
  • 5 years of warehousing
  • Certifications
  • Must be Forklift certified
  • Certified in the Transportation of Hazardous Materials and Dangerous Goods

Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to maintain relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with staff and customers

Language Skills                                                        
  • Strong oral and written communication skills                      

Mathematical Skill
  • Basic mathematics, ability to create excel charts for tracking purposes

Computer Skills                                                        
  • Excellent proficiency with the use of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of an ERP System - SAP Specific
Salary Range: $35.00 hr. to $39.00 hr. (Depending on level of experience)
