Job Description

Human Resource Recruiter needed for an established company in South Houston.  If you have extensive recruiting experience in all technical positions, we need to talk.

Job Objective: Focuses on locating qualified candidates for vacancies that require specific skills and experience.  This includes sourcing, attracting, selecting, and hiring top talent in the market.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
  • Posts and sources candidates utilizing various channels including external job boards (e.g. LinkedIn, etc.) and networking events.
  • Maintains passive talent pipeline and acts as point person for employee referrals.
  • Screens talent pools and confirms basic qualifications, skill set, interest, job fit, salary requirements, career pipeline and work authorization to identify qualified candidates.
  • Details and documents process and communications within the Applicant Tracking System, as well as provides clear and timely communication and status updates with hiring manager.
  • Schedules interviews and oversees facilitation of hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and /or other Human Resources staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Identify and help lead initiatives that drive hiring efficiencies and improvements to our recruitment efforts.
  • Maintains a database of candidates, reviews resume and selects the best candidates for interviews.
  • Creates monthly reports to determine future employment needs.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
Qualification:
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas sector, including key roles, technical skills, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to demonstrate a successful record of using rapport-building skills (listening, probing, persuading)
  • Ability to effectively use interviewing techniques to evaluate candidates' qualifications in relation to the position requirements to determine a successful match and provide accurate, actionable feedback to hiring managers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal and relatability skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in working with multiple partners and key stakeholders.
  • Must project poise and confidence.
  • Stong sense of urgency with a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Travel only as needed to off-site meetings or training <20%
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation, in a timely manner.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen ability to prioritize and multi-task, establish priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Good to excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
Educational Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field and 5-10 years of full-cycle recruiting experience; specifically with technical and field-based roles.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver License
Physical Requirements:  
  • Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed.  May require waling primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.  Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday.  Proper lifting techniques required.  May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.

Work Environment:
  • The noise level is usually quiet to moderate and always is within safe OSHA decibel constraints.
