Well established company located in Pasadena, Texas is looking to add to the team.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Distribution Manager this role is primarily responsible for retrieving finished goods to fill customer orders and prepare accordingly for outgoing shipments. In addition, support when needed the storage and packaging of both raw materials and finished goods.

Reporting directly to the Distribution Manager this role is primarily responsible for retrieving finished goods to fill customer orders and prepare accordingly for outgoing shipments. In addition, support when needed the storage and packaging of both raw materials and finished goods.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receives customer orders and properly combines finished goods accordingly to prepare for shipment
- Compares collected products to the packing list and inspects order for accuracy before shipment
- Prepares orders for shipment via Less than Truck Load (LTL) and some Full Trailor Loads (TL) freight as assigned by obtaining delivery and/or pickup appointments, and selecting and contracting with the appropriate carrier
- Repackage partial finished good boxes when needed to create a complete package
- Loading completed orders onto trailers from the loading/staging area
- Assist with inbound/receiving goods (i.e. raw materials) by unloading trucks and checking inbound freight
- Preparation of hazardous material shipping docs for Haz Mat shipments
- Off-loading and receiving bulk tank truck loads
- Support with putting inbound freight in proper location/storage within the facility
- Perform general maintenance and cleanup within the facility
- Assist emergency response group for cleanup of spills, etc.
- Other duties as needed
- One (1) year of Distribution/Warehouse experience (preferred)
- Ability to operate various materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, class I and II forklifts (required)
- Strong reading and communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at a time
- Must be in good physical condition and have good motor skills (hand/eye coordination)
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received
- Basic understanding of warehouse and safety procedures
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records and input data
