Job Title:
CNC Machinist
Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm M-F
Description:
Seeking CNC Machinists to operate CNC mills and lathes in a small batch repetitive manufacturing environment.  Employees will be expected to operate a variety of makes and models of FANUC CNC mills and lathes.
CNC Machinist Duties:
  • Read dimensions and tooling instructions from work orders and drawings/blueprints.
  • Perform machine set-up by ensuring proper programs, tooling and offsets are used.
  • Load and unload raw material and parts, ensuring proper part alignment and positioning using part holding clamps, jaws, and chucks.
  • Monitor machine operation to detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance operations and adjust machine controls as required.
  • Verify machine calibration and settings by measuring parts against drawings, using micrometers (ID and OD), dial calipers, and dial indicators.  
  • Produce consistent, quality parts within tolerances of ± .0005"
  • Machine operators are responsible for fit, finish, and cleaning of each part produced.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2+ Years of experience in the setup and operation of mills and/or Lathes with FANUC controls.
  • 3+ Years experience in a job shop or production shop environment.
  • Understanding of G-code part programs and code relationship to part drawings.
  • Capable of machining complex parts without assistance.
  • Must have own measuring tools up to 3” and wrenches to setup.
  • Must have proficiency at reading drawings (blueprints).
  • Must be able to accurately read a tape measure. 
  • Must Pass CNC Machining Test
  • Capable of lifting at least 35 lbs., and able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Submit to and pass a drug screening.  
  • Submit to and pass a background check.
Additional Skills
  • Experience operating a multi axis and dual spindle horizontal turning center.
  • Able to operate a manual drill press using fixtures or by manual layout from a drawing.
  • Able to operate an overhead crane.
