CNC Machinist (Tsugami Brand Swiss Lathe/Screw Machine) - 2nd Shift

Job Description
Working from blueprints, sketches or drawings. Perform duties to set up and operate CNC Swiss Lathe/Screw Machines. Ability to perform various machining operation in accordance with part specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Swiss Style Tsugami Brand Swiss/Screw Machines
- Analyze and interpret blueprint, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
- Plan machine set ups, position work piece and operate various CNC machines through production runs to form specified quantities of piece parts to specified tolerances.
- Deburr parts as needed.
- Monitor machine functions to ensure that parts are manufactured to defined specifications.
- Perform first piece inspections and make necessary adjustment to machine to ensure parts are formed to designated tolerances.
- Complete inspection reports as required and repair any defects found and document critical quality information as necessary.
- Perform preventative maintenance and ensure machines are operating optimally.
- Communicate with managers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve quality issues.
- Act as subject matter expert and train co-workers as requested.
- Document outstanding issues either written or verbally to ensure smooth transition between shifts.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement of our products and processes to better serve our customers and improve the overall profitability of Jetstream.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives and advise Production Supervisor of any maintenance problems that may need to be resolved.
- Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate in Machining Technologies or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience setting up and operating Tsugami brand CNC Swiss Lathe/Screw machines, required.
- 1+ years' experience work with a B Axis strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret Blueprints/Technical Drawing.
